A.
If you are having an updo, slip the teeth
of the comb under a secure curl. Once
the comb is slipped in, bobby pin over
the teeth. The comb should match the curve
of your head. Slide the comb in while
holding the style in tact.
B. For
short hair or down styles, take a two
inch square section of hair from the area
your veil will be attached. Take a brush
or comb and tease the section of hair
closest to the scalp. The idea is to form
a cushion of matted hair. If your hair
is thick, simply slide the comb in the
matted section close to the scalp. Bobby
pin over it.
C.
For finer hair it helps to lay the matted
section back. Pin the matted section to
the scalp with a criss cross of bobby
pins.
D.
Now slide the teeth of the comb along
the scalp UNDER the bobby pins. The teeth
will go into the cushion. It should take
a little muscle to slip it in. Add more
bobby pins over the comb for heavy or
long veils.
Where
should my veil be placed on my head?
For the
most part it is a matter of personal preference.
Some brides like to "see" a
lot of veil and some like it tucked in
the back. In the photos below the pink
arrows show a number of choices for each
hairstyle. These brides below chose the
first arrow.

Here these
brides chose to show off a pretty tiara
and a few curls. The veil is placed at
the second arrow.

The third
area is more toward the back and falls
"off" the style.
